Mahogany sideboard veneered in cherry wood by Fratelli Tagliabue, 1940s

Prestigious and elegant sideboard with mahogany structure and details. Cherrywood veneer with herringbone motif in the central part. Black glass top. 

The body has rounded sides and it's framed on the back with a grissinato profile. To support the cabinet two grotesque finely carved dolphin with elongated body snake type. Beautiful interiors in mahogany and cherry. The furniture is important and elegant, intact and solid, functional from the openings of the doors and drawers to the keys. The glossy varnish is intact and has a light dark colour on the vertical union on the sides of the veneer that increase its charm. On the back it has the stamp of the producer Fratelli Tagliabue Cantù. The design and the type of the furniture indicates the style of Osvaldo Borsani. Patina due to age and use. Dark signs of time on the paint in the sides of the cabinet.
