Polychrome Lacquered Portal and Door, 18th Century, Set of 2
Stunning and Well-Proportioned Louis XIV Portal with Door
Originating from the Marche region and dating back to the first half of the 18th century, this magnificent Louis XIV portal with door showcases exceptional craftsmanship.
Lacquered on fir wood, it features a splendid combination of polychrome tones: an ochre yellow border with delicate hand-painted orange veining, a deep Bordeaux center with black veining, and striking emerald green profiles accented with black lines.
While it may have undergone some conservation work and touch-ups in the past, it retains its original patina and color. Elegant and visually striking once installed.
